Wedding Daze!

Well it's been a very busy year so far one of the main reasons being, I got married! It was the most wonderful day, full of brilliant friends, great music and of course delicious food.

The Lovely ladies from Choc Star (www.chocstar.co.uk) where there dishing out their wares of Chocolate Brownies, Ice Cream Sundaes, Hot Chocolate and even Chocolate Martinis. It was a chocoholics dream.

The canapés and main meal were prepared by Tom Hunt and his brilliant crew from Poco Loco (www.pocoloco.co.uk)

 For the main meal we had Porchetta made from local organic Pork.

..... for the veggies we had whole steamed Artichokes which looked and tasted out of this world!

Then for the 'piece de resistance' I made Profiteroles which were kindly filled and put together by a friend of mine as wedding dresses and spun sugar and not a great combo.

So having eaten our hearts out we danced the night away to the wee hours. Thanks to Stephie for the incredible head dress (http://feathersmith.blogspot.com)

Beautiful Wedding shoot in Devon

Tricky Treats recently had the lucky chance to be part of a wedding photo shoot. Amy from Hooe's Yurts had the inspired idea to bring together a few choice people from the wedding industry. Luckily the weather was gorgeous and Rosie got some brilliant shots. We even got listed on a top wedding Blog, Love My Dress. Woopieeeeeeeeee!

I made miniature Lavender cakes, cut in half and filled with butter cream and Blueberry compote. I love these cute little cakes and think they added to the rustic style of the shoot. The top cake was a larger version of the miniature cakes, although this one is covered in butter cream. The flavour of these cakes is wonderfully delicate yet very distinctive.

Thanks to;
